How To Find Hidden Traffic And Use It To Get More Clients

Hidden Keyword Search TrafficFinding clients isn’t always the easiest thing to do. Working above and beyond to get great customer feedback and solid word-of-mouth advertising isn’t always enough to keep the bills paid and the fridge stocked, so any client-grabbing advice is welcome news to the harried freelancer.

But did you know that underserved, ready-to-buy clients might already be visiting your website? Let’s take a look at how to use statistics tools and SEO plugins to find these “hidden” visitors to your website, and then how you can convert them into clients

First, Take A Look At Your Unexpected Traffic Sources

If you’re not already using a stats-gathering tool for your website or blog, you need to start doing it immediately. The easiest free web-based stats tool to use is Google Analytics, and you can easily add it to your site even if you don’t consider yourself a techie. Just sign up and get a free account, follow the instructions, and you’re on your way.

Once your stats tool has been gathering data, take a look at the keywords that bring traffic to your site and keep an eye out for unexpected search terms that you’re ranking for. For example, my blog was optimized for time management keywords but I realized that I was getting a good number of hits for things like “double your sales” and “triple your wealth.” I Googled those phrases and to my surprise I ranked #5 and #1 for those terms, respectively. That was an eye-opener, because business-builders are my main client base.

You see, these seemingly random terms that lead people to your site are important because it means that for those keywords, you probably rank on the first page of search results, which is very, very good. Because if you add more content to your site around those phrases, you’re going to continue to rank well for a focused group of searchers that want what you’re offering. Once you’ve identified these unexpected terms that bring qualified visitors to your site, you can move on to the next step:

Begin Writing Additional Content To Strengthen Your Ranking For Those Visitors

If you rank well on accident, it likely means that you don’t have a lot of competition for those keywords and creating targeted content can only make your ranking better. Once I realized that sales-based articles brought me traffic, I began to write more about how time management could help you “double your sales.” Web traffic increased, and I began to have more entrepreneurs contact me and ask for coaching.

If you write more target content for the unexpected keywords that bring traffic to your site, you have the opportunity to keep a dominant position on Google’s front page and bring even more of that highly qualified traffic your way. Just write an article series based on those keywords and add some strong internal linking to connect the articles and you’re on even better footing. Then you can move to the final step:

Optimize Your Pages For SEO To Bring In More Traffic

Remember, you’re ranking for these keywords accidentally, so being a little more diligent about it can only help you leverage them more. Here are two simple things you can do to optimize your pages SEO-wise, even if you don’t know a whole lot about SEO:

  • Use your search engine results to link to your services. If you’re ranking on the first page of results for a random article or page you’ve written, make the most of it. Edit that page so that it has links back to your services page or contact forms so that when the visitor arrives, they are steered towards a buying decision.
  • Get the All-In-One SEO Plugin if you have a blog. This plugin is easy to install and use to add some SEO power to your blog posts. Download the plugin here and read this tutorial or watch this video on how to use it.

Start Drawing In More Clients Without A Whole Lot Of Extra Work

Remember, you’re ranking well because you don’t have a lot of competition for those keywords (yet). Take advantage of that. Find those hidden gems, create some content based around them, and lead visitors to your service pages every chance you get. Do this well, and you may find yourself with a healthy boost in paying jobs before you know it.

Make Money Online - Learn How To Make Money With Internet Marketing

Everyone needs money. It is a part of life, whether you like it or not, you need to have money in this world. There are frustrating and uncomfortable ways to make money, such as having a 9-5 with no freedom. A person could also go to university and get a degree, then start on their own path to making money, which I think is a great way to do it. Personally I enjoy making money online.

People go crazy trying to make money, and a lot of them do not realise what is right in front of them. The internet. It has endless opportunities that allow anyone to make money online if that is what they desire.

A person just needs to have the determination and the online money making blueprint to success. Once this is set be ready to start on your journey to financial freedom.

When I say anyone can do this, I'm not lying. I am 19 years old and learned this from a kid who spent from 13 years old to 18 years old perfecting his blueprint to making money online. And guess what? He did a great job, and now makes enough money online to make a good living. He had many failures on the way but in the end perfected something amazing that can make money online for just about anyone.

Today, I am with out a doubt making more money online than any of my buddies with their "full time jobs". They always try to brag about their jobs and then I have to explain to them how much more they could be making. I don't think they realise how much money I make online.

There are numerous ways to go about making money online but I advise before trying any that u have a mindset. It's very important that u expect yourself to succeed and see yourself making money online. Picture something that you want to achieve, maybe it's something you have wanted to buy for a long time but can't afford it, just picture it and see yourself attaining that goal. This is the first step and is literally the most important... Just know that you will and can succeed to make money online with some work.

You have to realise that making money online is REAL but learning to make money online is kind of like learning to ride a bike, it takes some time and there may be a little bit of risk at first, but oh when u finally get that bike going and your not falling man is it sweet . Only it's not a bike, its cold hard cash. You're going to have to know that to make this money online it will take a bit of time and effort, but you will be working from home and will be working way less than at most jobs out there.

Making money online will become easier as you progress and learn more from your blueprint, and things will start to go faster as you tweak them and make things optimal for you to make money online. It starts out hard but will end with an nice cash flow that can be modified from home.

Once you've started making money online and know the concepts of making money online cash will start to flow in I guarantee it.

Check out this blueprint of how an 18 year old kid has been making tons of money since he was 13.

How To Make Money Online Using Search Engine Optimization (seo)

If really want to know how to make money online, then first get yourself a website. Once you have done that, use search engine optimization, or SEO, to give yourself the best opportunity for your site to be listed high enough on the Google search engine result listings as to provide you with sufficient free advertising to enable you to make money.

Of course, you need a product, but these are easy to find. You can sell somebody else's product under an affiliate program, buy the Private Label Rights to an ebook and change it to be your own, or even create your own. None of these is difficult to do if you know how to do it, and you have many different options as to the type of website you might want to use to make it easier for you.

I am going to skip what should be the topic of other articles, and go straight to SEO, because it is good search engine optimization that will get you a high listing. There are many ways in which you can format both your HTML/CSS and the text on your page to make sure that you get the best possible result given the keyword you are using, and the content of your web page.

Some of these involve optimization with the HEAD section of the source code, that is not seen by the reader but us certainly used by the search engine spiders in their algorithmic calculations of the relevance of your page to the keyword, and others with respect to the contents of the BODY section of your page, that both spiders and readers will see.

Before discussing these, though, let's first discuss keywords and what they actually are. Keywords are the most important part of internet marketing, but many people still do not fully understand what they are. If you want to make money online using search engine optimization, you have to fully understand keywords and their use in SEO.

If you are searching for information online for, say, the history of canal locks, you might use the term 'history of canal locks', or just 'canal locks', or even 'the history of locks'. These terms are keywords, whether they consist of one word or more than one. Let's look at 'the history of locks'. Google first removes what are known as the 'stop' words, such as 'the', 'a', 'of' and 'and'.

It then looks for web pages in their listings that contain all of the individual words left in your keyword, of which in this example there are two - 'history' and 'locks', then those that contain only one. If your web page has been listed, the search engine spiders will have determined the relevance of it to the keyword, and then to the partial keyword. It will then list all the pages it finds containing 'history' and 'locks' according to the calculated relevance to these words.

This is where your search engine optimization comes into effect: you have to persuade the search engines that your web page is more relevant to the search term, or keyword, than any other, and your success, or lack of it, will be reflected in your search engine position. Hence the importance of SEO.

You can emphasize that importance by including the keywords in your TITLE tag, that only search engine spiders will see, and also in H1 heading tags that readers will see. You can use the keyword in strategic positions, such as in your first 100 characters and in the final paragraph, and also restrict its use to no more than twice in your first 500 characters, and no more than around 4 or 5 times in a 400 word article. Some believe even that to be too many these days.

You also have to use language and vocabulary that allows the spiders to determine that your web page is about canal locks and not security locks, since the title 'the History of Locks' does not offer that distinction. That is where Google's latent semantic indexing (LSI) algorithm comes into play.

There are many other ways in which you can make money online using search engine optimization on your web pages, and once you have learned and applied these in your internet marketing campaigns you will have a better chance than most of getting your web page listed high in the Google listings, and those of the other search engines, and so getting you lots of free advertising that is critical to your success

Once you have perfected your SEO, you should use Article Marketing to secure your success.

In addition, there are other ways to earn an income from your home by using the computer such as completing surveys, participating in online marketing campaigns and freelance projects. Here are a few suggestions that may help you determine if working at home is a viable option for you.

Some individuals are able to start making money from home with a minimal amount of expenditure by signing up to complete surveys. The work is available through businesses, listing sites, or sometimes from other sources such as those provided by research facilities linked to medical institutions or educational institutions. These buyers pay for the services of individuals who are willing to answer questions about their experiences with a specific product or activity. Surveys typically take only a few minutes to complete and pay anywhere from $5 to $25 and up for the responses. Payment is made in cash, coupons, merchandise or points that can be redeemed for merchandise.

Chinese Cash in on New Land Opportunities

By Calum MacLeod

DUTOU VILLAGE, China -- Mo Dede sits in his small office flanked by fields of kidney beans and a poster of Mao Zedong on the wall that "brings me luck," he says.

The Communist leader might spin in his grave, though, if he could see what Mo is doing with his farming business these days -- with the explicit approval of the government in Beijing.

As part of a sweeping land-reform package announced last month, Mo and 700 million other Chinese farmers can now pay to farm other people's land, or consolidate their plots into larger, more productive operations.

That was a big step toward undoing decades of Communist laws that forbid private land ownership. Technically, land is still owned by a collective, such as a village, but Mo says the reform will allow him and his neighbors to combine their land into one operation -- and lead better lives as a result.

"I want to get all of Fuli township into my cooperative. Everyone can make money from it. We provide a whole set of services from seeds to sales," Mo says.

The overhaul formalizes a practice that has already been going on in many parts of the country. It comes at a time when China's rapid economic growth is driving up food prices worldwide, forcing the government to look within its own borders to meet demand.

Another goal is to raise income levels in rural areas, where many people earn just $1 a day and there are few signs of the glittering prosperity present in eastern cities such as Shanghai and Beijing. Farmers, long the mainstay of China's economy, have seen their living standards fall far behind, prompting 200 million farmers to move to urban centers in recent years.

The reform will allow farmers to transfer the right to use the small plots they have tilled for three decades. China also promises to crack down on land grabs by local officials without adequate compensation, a major cause of protests.

The challenges of getting the most out of China's farms are immense, says Li Ping of the Rural Development Institute, a Seattle-based group pushing for land rights for the world's poor.

"China is the opposite of the USA, which has an abundance of capital and land. In China, labor is abundant, but it is short of land and rural capital," he says.

The average rural household in China farms just 1.5 acres, Li says. Under the new policy, "farmers will have more secure land rights, and transferees will have less fear of land loss, so this will stimulate market action," he says.

Villagers form a cooperative

On the banks of the Li River in southern China's Guangxi province, the farmers of Dutou village did not wait for the government's official announcement.

Last summer, Mo assembled 100 villagers into a high-tech vegetable cooperative by offering free insecticide and fertilizer, and by guaranteeing a price for the kidney beans they plant.

The 36-year-old who dropped out of school at age 13 now makes more than $30,000 a year. He returned to Guangxi province 10 years ago to explore agribusiness after scrounging jobs as a cook or a builder elsewhere.

Like many farmers, Liao Pingying, 37, was skeptical of Mo's plan. "But he is good at persuading people, including me," Liao says.

In August, Liao rented 11.5 acres from other farmers to plant kidney beans for Mo. The profits have been quick. Liao says he made $290 to $440 per 0.16 acre, and paid just $30 to $45 to lease each parcel.

Don't expect U.S.-style agribusiness giants to spring up overnight, says Sally Sargeson, who specializes in China's rural issues at the Australian National University. For people in the countryside, land is their safety net, unlike residents in big cities who have access to government programs and payouts.

Leasing their land may help farmers get some real value out of it, says Ma Wenfeng, a grains analyst in Beijing.

"The government is trying to find ways to help people in different situations become more productive and profitable in agribusiness," Sargeson says. "The changes will take place over the next decade, not next year."

Sargeson says high income remains a distant dream for many farmers. Average annual income for those in rural areas was $606 in 2007 -- less than one-third of city salaries, a record gap that has sparked protests.

Seizing the opportunity

In Dutou village, Qing Zhangcheng, 22, returned from a factory job in southeast Fujian province to help his parents cash in on the new land opportunities.

"We will plant whatever Mo tells us to. He has better knowledge than most farmers, and will not let us lose money. Farming in the village is more organized now. If there is money to make here, then more young people like me will return," he says.

For some farmers, the changes can't come soon enough.

"I wish someone would pay to use my land," says Yuan Yunmu, 50, while leading his water buffalo back home to Chaoyang village near Dutou.

His family barely gets by on the $146 earned in a year from growing potatoes on their tiny plot.

"I hope my son won't become a farmer," Yuan says, "but I doubt he will find a way out of here." (c) Copyright 2008 USA TODAY, a division of Gannett Co. Inc.

How Much Money EBay Stole From Me In The Last Week!

This past 7 days I did an experiment. I had not listed on eBay in over two months so I really never had any idea what I was truly spending per item in listing and final valuation fees… until now… My account was paid up and I was beginning from ground zero.

Well I put on 182 items of good to very good antique and vintage costume jewelry with most under $10.00, a number of them under $20.00 and a few under $40.00. None of my auction listings had any extra “bells and whistles” so that most listed for $.35 - $.90. I sold 55 auctions for $1,105.00… not bad for a week’s work? Can’t beat it huh!!! Well the week has ended and let me give you the total breakdown of my costs.

With the cost of 182 auctions’ listing fees, 30 items relisting fees and final valuation fees I owe eBay $305.55. So that means I now made $799.45… still not bad for a week’s work… right? Oh I forgot ebay buyers can now only pay with paypal and this is any estimated $133.99 in Paypal charges (remember this is still going into eBay’s pocket). Well that now brings me down to $665.46… okay not as good as I had hoped… but, oh I forgot the cost of my merchandise which at the low end is about $455.00 and which I also bought through eBay so they made more money from me when I made my bids to win it … now I made $210.46 … well now we are down below minimum wage for my 40 hours of work. And it gets worse, I offered FREE SHIPPING as eBay really like to get buyers and this will be about another $100.00… which leaves me with a grand total for the week of $110.46 divided by a 40 hour week makes my hourly rate $2.76 an hour.

So as you see between eBay and Paypal my original $1,105.00 income was reduced by 40% for their fees. This is higher than the highest tax bracket… this is higher than what an auctioneer would have charged and they would have actually worked for the money and probably sold everything.
Throughout the annals of time, I am sure that Ebay along with its subsidiary Paypal are the greediest two companies to have ever graced the face of the earth. One more point about eBay… when listing an auction, eBay would like to see you contribute a percentage of your sales to a charity from 10% to a whopping 100%. I really hope no eBay seller is under the delusion that eBay is sending a check to your favorite charity with your name on it… wrong …eBay is taking your hard earned charitable contribution and writing it off against their corporate taxes thus lowering eBay’s tax liability. EBay sellers fill eBay’s pockets with tons of cash and then eBay turns around and expects eBay sellers to pay their taxes!!! This is unfathomable greed and eBay continues to get away with it!!!
Now along with all of this, as a seller I have to worry that someone will leave me negative feedback and I have no recourse, or God forbid someone reverses their payment to me on Paypal and I am out those additional funds, or that my Power Seller (what good is it anyways) will be dropped or the ultimate I will wake up one morning and across my screen in big yellow words “YOU ARE SUSPENDED FROM EBAY” for something inane and trivial.

I honestly have to ask why do people put up with this greed and craziness. Why do eBay sellers struggle to keep eBay’s pockets over brimming and their stockholders fat!!! Ebay is not the place it used to be or is it really even an option as a place to make money. Actually most could work at McDonalds and make twice as much and get a free burger in the bargain.

The problem is that people who love auctions and buying and selling vintage and antique things can’t get it out of their blood. Well there is a true alternative to eBay and it is especially for the small boutique and specialty store buyer and seller of vintage and antique things. I along with three others have started VirtualShops.biz and it is the umbrella company for a series of new and exciting auction boutiques for antique and vintage merchandise to be opened over the next 14 months. The premise of our business is three fold. First is to have auction boutique venues for specialty antique and vintage merchandise. Second is to be the least costly venue on the internet. And third is to provide the best customer service available anywhere.

The first auction boutique, opened in October 2008, is Virtual Gems Emporium at www.virtualgemsemporium.com. This is an exclusive auction venue for antique, vintage and new costume and fine jewelry. For example if I had listed the above 182 auctions on Virtual Gems Emporium with the many free upgrades VGE offers, my total cost to list and relist would have been $74.20 and this is because THERE ARE NO FINAL VALUATION FEES!!! Yes that is right $74.20 as compared to $305.55 at eBay. Also since Virtual Gems Emporium does not require the buyer to pay by Paypal (this obviously is still an option along with many other payment options at VGE) I could save the additional $133.99. My sales of $1,105.00 would have only been diminished to $1,030.00 and that is if everyone would have paid by check or money order. Now if all had chosen to use paypal or comparable online payment, my total proceeds would have been reduced to around $896.81 at VGE as compared to the above $655.46. This is a huge savings of $241.35. The point here is that buyers and sellers now have options.

Just to show you how generous we are at VGE you can list as much as you want for FREE throughout the month of November. Hopefully you will get that extra cash needed for Christmas and the holidays. We want as many jewelry lovers to come to get to know us and test drive our site… and we want to see you make money for the Holidays. So get going and enjoy a wonderful and exciting month of making some extra money without worrying about listing fees and NO Final Valuation Fees!!! The free listing feature is for all types of auctions, fixed, buy out, or reserve auction and will include:

1. FREE SUBCATEGORY
2. FREE PHOTO UPLOADS (up to 7 photos)
3. FREE SUPERSIZE THUMBNAIL GALLERY PHOTOS
4. FREE BUY IT NOW
5. FREE RESERVE
6. FREE DELAYED AUCTION START
7. FREE LISTING (no matter what the starting price is AND no matter how many)
8. FREE BOLD

The only things not included in this free offer will be HIGHLIGHTING, HOME PAGE FEATURE, CATEGORY FEATURE and MEDIA (movie) UPLOAD which are all still available but at the price indicated in our site fee section to be found at the bottom of the home page.

REGISTRATION IS FREE !!! NO FINANCIAL INFORMATION IS REQUIRED!!!
LIST FOR FREE THROUGHOUT NOVEMBER
IMPORTANT KEY TO YOUR SUCCESS ON THE SITE and GETTING YOUR VGE BUSINESS OFF THE GROUND!!!

This is a new site since only being up just a little over a month and I just want to remind you that this site is YOUR site. As with starting any new business endeavor you will need to work to contact friends, family and other auction buddies you may have in your email address book and let them know where you are. This is good for everybody. In my first month on VGE, many of my previous buyers from eBay signed up and my income barely skipped a beat and actually probably did better since I paid no Final Valuation Fees!!! If you want more than you will be expected to work to make VGE better than eBay and with the opportunity to make tons of money with more of it going in your pocket.
I have read many blogs and forums over the past year and a half and the complaints about eBay continue to mount. But the overriding comment has always been “why doesn’t someone else start an auction site for the small boutique seller”. Well that is what gave birth to the idea of Virtual Gems Emporium and IT IS FOR YOUR USE TO MAKE TONS OF MONEY!!!.

Once you have registered I will be sending you an email for you to send to your friends, family and auction buddies. This letter should be emailed as a blind copy (BCC) to everyone in your email address book. Just as with any new business venture you need to get your leads for sales and this will help to bring those who love you and your things to the site. Think about business associates, church members or anyone else who you might know and make them aware of where you are and that they might find some really great Christmas or Holiday Gifts for those on their lists.

The great news gets even greater. Before the end of 2008 two more new sites will be opened and each will again be vintage and antique boutique auctions like Virtual Gems Emporium. And guess what, if you are signed up on Virtual Gems Emporium you will have a “VIRTUAL SHOPS PASSPORT” to shop and sell in any and all boutiques that are opened.

The next auction boutique to be opened will be Virtual Collectibles Shop and will be for all of the vintage and antique things that collectors love. You will find stamps, coins, toys, comic books, dolls, sports memorabilia, snowglobes, Disney, paper ephemera and so much more.

The third auction boutique will be Virtual Arts and Antique Gallery and will be all about fine vintage and antique pieces for the dealer and collector. You will find paintings, limited edition art pieces, sculpture, vintage and antique porcelain, glassware, art glass, pottery, art pottery, Asian Antiques, antiquities, furniture, and so much more.

In 2009, other fabulous boutique auction sites will be opened and will include Veranda and Patio, European, African, Far East, Gourmet, Kitchen, Bed and Bath, Pet and more!!! So hold onto your hats because this is where the future is going and just think you are all in on the ground floor of this very exciting endeavor.

Unlike EBay, VGE has many buyer to seller payment options and include personal check, cashier’s check, money orders, Western Union, Paypal, Google Check Out, Authorize.net and even more so you now the FREEDOM and OPPORTUNITY to conduct your business the way you want to.
To summarize, build your business on VGE as quickly as you can so you can make a ton of money especially with the holidays coming.

We want you to be successful and we want our site to be the best ALTERNATIVE out there.
Thank you and welcome to your future!!!!
